Even allowing for the quote being a humorous paraphrase ("You do some stuff.") nothing like it appears anywhere in Leonardo's writings, at least as far as I can tell after some searching. Can you point to the source of the quote?
Ah, I think I found it. The quote is typically misattributed to da Vinci. From what I can tell, it's from Thomas Peters' "In Search of Excellence: Lessons From America's Best-Run Companies." I don't own the book (and there isn't much of it on Google books), so I can't double-check it.
